BETTY LOU PICKETT
Betty Lou Snyder Pickett was born August 19, 1944 in Jim Thorpe PA., daughter of Arthur and Grace Snyder. Graduated from the Jim Thorpe High School in 1962.
Married Rev Ronald Pickett, June 15, 1963
Mother of 3 Children and 7 grandchildren. Betty Lou was Co Laborer with her husband.
She ministered with her husband in 3 churches in the US and the planting of 5 Churches in Brazil South America. A loving wife, a great mother, and a willing worker in the Church work entrusted to us!
Rev Pickett was born in Watertown, NY, February 23, 1940. He graduated from Belleville Union Academy, Belleville, NY in 1958. He attended Eastern Pilgrim College for 5 years and graduated with a Theology degree. He married Betty Lou Snyder in 1963. In New Jersey he got a Master's degree in Education. He taught in NJ for 11 years. They had 3 children, James Daniel Pickett, Stephen Paul Pickett and Karen Rene Pickett. From 1970-1975 Rev Pickett pastored a Wesleyan Church in Berlin, NJ. In 1975 he and his wife accepted a call to Brazil, SA where they served under Wesleyan World Missions for 15 years. With God's help they were able to plant 5 churches. In 1990 while on Home Ministries travel, they were involved in an accident in Canada. Betty Lou suffered major trama injuries and so they resigned from Wesleyan World Missions. They pastored the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Baltimore, MD for 13 years. They accepted a call to Grace Wesleyan in 2003. Their oldest Son, James and wife Karen are serving as missionaries in Mozambique Africa. Steve and his wife, Georgia worked with Native Americans in SD for two years. Presently they are living in Lewisburg, PA Their daughter Karen and her husband Brian Snyder are pastors of the United Wesleyan Church in Sandy Creek, NY. Rev Pickett and his wife have 7 grandchildren.
