Betty Lou Snyder was born August 19, 1944, in Jim Thorpe PA., the daughter of Arthur and Grace Snyder.  She graduated from Jim Thorpe High School in 1962, and a year later married Rev. Ronald Pickett on June 15, 1963.
While raising three children, Betty Lou was co-laborer with her husband as
he ministered in three churches in the US and the planting of 5 churches in Brazil, South America.  A loving wife, a great mother, and a willing worker in the Church work entrusted to us!

Rev. Pickett was born in Watertown, NY, on February 23, 1940.  Following graduation from Belleville Union Academy, Belleville, NY, in 1958, he attended Eastern Pilgrim College where he earned a Theology degree. He married Betty Lou Snyder in 1963.  In New Jersey he received a Master's degree in Education; he taught in NJ for 11 years.  They had 3 children: James Daniel Pickett, Stephen Paul Pickett and Karen Rene Pickett.   From 1970-1975 Rev. Pickett pastored a Wesleyan Church in Berlin, NJ.  In 1975 he and his wife accepted a call to Brazil, SA where they served under Wesleyan World Missions for 15 years.  With God's help they were able to plant 5 churches.   In 1990 while on Home Ministries travel, they were involved in a major accident in Canada.  Betty Lou suffered traumatic injuries as a result prompting their resigna- tion from Wesleyan World Missions.  They pastored the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Baltimore, MD for 13 years.  They accepted a call to Grace Wesleyan in 2003.  Their oldest son, James and wife, Karen, are serving as missionaries in Mozambique, Africa.  Steven and his wife, Georgia, worked with Native Americans in SD for two years.  They are presently living in Lewisburg, PA.  Their daughter Karen and her husband, Brian Snyder, are pastors of the United Wesleyan Church in Sandy Creek, NY.  Rev. and Mrs. Pickett are the proud grandparents of seven!
